    1. Disclaimer I won this book through the First Reads Contest I was not a fan of this book While the over arching storyline of an ex military, current lawyer, guy tracking down a terrorist was interesting the execution of the story was lacking The first problem with the book is the fact that every setting in the book is basically the same, a luxurious house or hotel next to a golf course I thought it was strange that terrorists trying to lay low would hang out in these public and exposed types of [...]

    2. Great read Good action Fantastic storyline Excellent characters Engaging pace Superb settings Adam Drake is my new favorite literary hero.

    3. Good book, my only problem with this and Adam Drake 1 is that for such a brilliant hero, his lack of confidence in his findings is aggravating I like a lead character that has the charisma and a skill level to actually believe in that skill level and not act so wimpy in pushing forward his findings as is done in these books The third book a little backbone is found so I will continue with the series Overall though good book.

    4. When I acquired Oath to Defend , I was unaware that it was book 2 in a series Before starting it, I was concerned that I might have trouble following the story because I missed the previous installment I found the concern unwarranted, the story makes reference to occurrences in book 1, but it was a great stand alone story.Oath to Defend takes readers into the world of smuggling, espionage, drug cartels and fanatical terrorists where death is an everyday occurrence and consciences are non existen [...]

    5. I ve been waiting with baited breath for this sequel to The Assassin s List, and the cat and mouse game played out between Drake and Barak did not disappoint Barak s agenda is not clear until about half way through the book a clever ploy to keep you reading late into the night Drake s agenda is personal he needs to see Barak pay for his past actions that is until his gut tells him Barak is planning an act even horrendous As Drake s pledge to protect his country is called upon once again, the su [...]

    6. Another GREAT GETAWAY I don t read a lot of action books They usually are too brutally descriptive and lose me but this book is just a great exciting story It speaks to the patriotism in you as well as so n e sit on the edge of your seat excitement These are not Tolstoy but they are very enjoyable reads with characters easy to get to know and like After I read the first Holm schwartz stand alone as are all this author s line up couldn t wait to read the next book in the series so I could find ou [...]

    7. This action thriller takes place about a month after the ending of The Assassin s List Adam Drake, attorney and sometimes consultant to Department of Homeland Security, is still looking for the antagonist, Barak In the meantime, a nuclear device has been detected being smuggled into the U.S via a tunnel from Tijuana Connected The action moves to the greater Bend, Oregon area in the search for that nuke Drake seems to feel that the nuke and a polo exhibition are related The DHS representative is [...]

    8. Story that s plausible.Jihadist cell known as Brotherhood, Mexican cartels, Hezbollah all working together advance their businesses and the destroying America Russian Special Atomic Demolition Device, vulnerable infrastructure in USA, our dams Terrifying story, but learned some things, like war with Muslim terrorists started while back when Thomas Jefferson was president at Tripoli.

    9. Loved ItFilled with a love for our great nation A team of no men and one woman risk all to stthe PUS SACKS allowed to cross our borders and spew their poison.Attempt to kill hundreds of thousands thousands of law abiding Americans The ending wasn t the one I wasn t the one I was hoping for But it was almost as good as a machete to the neck without a blindfold.

    10. It took me a while to get to this second book in this Adam Drake series, as I was working on the 2015 pop sugar challenge and I couldn t figure out how to fit this into any empty slots While you don t really need to read these two in order, there are tie backs to the first book in the series that I would consider spoilers Recommended for anyone that likes terrorism type thrillers.

    11. This is better than the Assassins List a very good thriller. If the Assassins List was Scott s first book he is off to one hell of a start I thoroughly enjoyed the previous book so I thought I would try this book It has everything that I imagine terrorists would use It was frighteningly realistic He has forced me to read the third book in the series.

    12. Even though this is not a genre I choose to read, I jumped right in the same day that I finished the Assassin s List I got hooked on the characters and the continuing storyline I am about to start book three and I am curious how the story will continue.

    13. Enjoyed the book abd it makes you think The plot is good and fast paced and WAY to plausible Can t wait for the next book.

    14. This is book two of four in the Adam Drake series It was just as much fun as the first book another page turner Give the series a try if you like action thrillers.

    15. I really enjoyed this, and although I liked the first Adam Drake book, I definitely enjoyed this one .I ll await the next one in the Adam Drake series.

    16. Enjoyable read although ending was so quick and a bit anti cliamtic after the buildup from the entire book

    17. Fun seriesFirst series of books I ve read in a long time The first 2 books have both been a really enjoyable read.
