    2. Wonderful book, excellent resource Well written and illuminating Mr Fuqua thoroughly researched his subject The interwoven narrative and stories, many of which can only be found in Alabama Musicians, provide a background for Alabama s musical history, giving context and humanity to the musical events I loved the short bios They provide a quick yet informative overview of the musicians who recorded in the Shoals and those who were from the state, many of which were a delightful surprise.

    3. This book is really irritating Too many paragraphs listing names and histories of many individuals break up the narrative I am not going to finish it Irritating Needed an editor
