    1. In my quest to read a book featuring a dangerous and sexy alpha hero, I found myself veering towards this Harlequin intrigue that is also a jungle adventure romantic suspense Though there were moments in the book I would have done away with, it still warranted as a great read for me because of the beautiful epilogue at the end of the story.35 year old Gabriel Hawk wears danger around him like the clothes on his back From the enormous tattoo on his left hand to the gold ring in his left ear, Hawk [...]

    2. I was unable to put this book down Keeping in mind this is a Harlequin romance novel, if you were to add another 100 pages of background from Hawks viewpoint on the fictitious banana republic and the less than squeaky clean intrigues of the CIA, this book is fast paced and interesting enough to stand alone as a mainstream drama think Tom Clancy Hawk is a hard case, but as you go along, you understand why Rorie is syrupy drippy sweet and virginal usually a turnoff , but she s spun realistic enoug [...]

    3. The hero is a jerk He insults the heroine to try to force her to change her mind, he enjoys when she s uncomfortable, he lies to her, all the while lusting after her She is consistent and pleasant, even though I don t understand how she can fall in love with him The plot is efficient but really simple.

    4. Gabriel Hawk is soooo horribly mean to the heroine, but her determination to rescue her nephew from the jerks in the jungle win him over in the end This is one hard ass anti hero, similar to Anne Stuart s gammas Great book No time to write a full review Some day

    5. DNF Heroine is TSTL I totally sympathize with the guys who drugged her and put her on a plane back home at the beginning of the book The hero is a dumbass for not doing the same Couldn t make it past 14% according to Kindle , though, so I ll refrain from rating it

    6. Well written A keeper One hot rugged hero, a plus size determined heroine Throw in a civil war, murders, and kidnapping and you have all the makings of a page turner.
